Spring Is In! E-paper For ASOS.com

Every girl loves shopping, and so do I : )

ASOS.com is one of my favourite online fashion and beauty retailer.
I suscribe their newsletter for accessing their latest news, but I found out that there is not so much different between every issue, always photographs with type.

So I redesign it with a new look, it's a girl's face with flowers.
Here is my sketch for the image.

Then I coloured it.
This is what it looks like! : )

Letterpress @Workshop

The workshop @uni is about letterpress, something I've never done before.Seeing these old looking machines with beautiful shaped of letters transposing ink on paper really amazes me.
The link above is a video showing what the process of letterpress printing is.
It's very interesting, please take a look.

what is art?

As computer and the internet widely invade our life, traditional print based publication has undergone a complete transformation in the past.

No matter how would change reader's habit between these two devices (print versus ebook), artists and designers still do really brilliant works on traditional print based publications. From my view, it's just like an incredible art craft.

The beautiful work below is created by Benja Harney, Sydney based paper engineer.
He made this beautiful Pop-Up Book for Harper Bazzar Australia.

These images are incredible amazing!!!! It changes my attitude to paper.
There are so many potential possibilities for print based publications rather than just informing something to readers.
