Penguin (UK publisher) has announced the brief for this annual Design Award. The competition is open to students, and there are two briefs: one for Penguin, to design a cover for Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude
; the other for Puffin, to design a cover for Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach

The closing date for entries is Friday 15 April 2011.
Below are three sketches I drawn for Puffin, Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach.
I don't quite like the left one, it seems that if there are 100 students submit the work, 99people will draw this similar one.
The right one looks normal as well.
Compared with the other two, it looks more dramatic. However, if I do more about this award, I will update it.
